In Memoriam

On May 23, 2020, our family's beloved patriarch Ernest Fata passed away peacefully at his home into the arms of his Heavenly Father, where he was reunited with his parents, Paul and Mary Fata, his sisters Gloria Spagnuolo and Margaret Fetyko, and his brother, Frank Fata. Born on September 13, 1927, he grew up and spent his entire life in Lansing, Michigan. 1927 - 2020 A proud graduate of St. Mary's High School, Class of 1945, he was on the 1944 State Championship Basketball Team. After serving two years in the army, he continued working in his father's store, which evolved into Paul Fata & Sons, a wholesale grocery distributor specializing in Italian food. Doris Clara Rassizi JANUARY 9, 1932 – MAY 29, 2020 Our beloved wife and mother, went to be with the Lord on May 29th, 2020. She was born on January 9th, 1932 in Kalamazoo. Preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Martha Jones, and sister Alma Joyce Rombouts. She is survived by her devoted husband, Benjamin Rassizi; children, Tedd (Kathy) Rassizi, Jill Rassizi, and William Rassizi; brother Ken Jones; sisters, Kathy VanWerden and Jewell Trombley; five grandchildren, Caroline, Rico, Alex, Tony, and Christina; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Christian, Enrico, and Emilio; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
